The Story I Wrote When I Was Little
Monday 19 September 2016

As most of you know, I loveeee writing. I love creating a story out of thin air, my thoughts flowing endlessly as I write as fast as I can to catch up to the speed of my thoughts (which is freakishly fast by the way). I'm not sure if many know, but I used to write a story called The Life of Elissa Ong (cringeeeeeee) and I publicised it as my first, proper story. Well, it's true. It was a proper story with a great ending and all.

Okay, maybe I didn't exactly end it, but where I left it at wasn't exactly a cliffhanger so all was good and it felt like an end. Kind of.

But what I forgot was that I actually wrote a short (and uncompleted) story when I was in Primary 3, when fairies and princesses still mattered a lot to me.

So here it is.

PRINCESS MAGIC

Chapter 1: Jewels They Found
"It's morning!" Emily exclaimed as the sun shone brightly through the window. Clarice woke up by the sudden noise. "Wake up, you sleepy head! We've lots of things to do!" Emily shouted. Clarice and Emily always had adventures: Fairy adventures! They had helped a few fairies to find the jewels and still had a few more to go.

"I wonder where to find the next jewel, I hope that we find it today!"

Chapter 2: Magic by Music
Just as she said that, Clarice saw her musical box playing a tune. "My musical box is plating a tune when I didn't even open it!" said Clarice. "Let's go closer." Emily said. They heard the fairy turning said, "The next jewel is in Fairyland, use you magic to go there." After saying, the musical box closed.

Chapter 3: The Excitement Began
"YAHOO!" shouted the two princesses. "Let's go!" shouted the both of them. Emily had a fairy wand and Clarice had a fairy necklace. They opened it carefully and sprinkled on them. Soon, they were in Fairyland. They saw Queen Titana and King Romendo standing right in front of them. "Welcome kids!" said Queen Titana. "We and the fairies think that the next jewel is on the tree." said Queen Titana.

"Oh." said Emily. "The fairies' wings had faded and none of them can fly. So only both of you can fight Tom Frost. Try to find the diamond." said Queen Titana.

...

I am assuming that Tom Frost = Jack Frost and I changed his name because I didn't want to copy it LOL but it was way too obvious. Way to be subtle, Jo-at-nine. And how the hell did I come up with the name Romendo????? HAHAHA hilarious.

I basically copied the entire chunk I handwrote in some booklet that I happened to chance upon and that explains the horrible grammatical mistakes and why I kept using shouted and said because my vocabulary was evidently very limited. Lol. But that's alright. I was young and naive and I still wanted to be a fairy.

Hope this short little passage (?) cheered you up and made you cringe as badly as I did! All the best for Uni y'all :-)
