Some time this morning, I was aimlessly surfing the net while trying to watch another episode of a gory mystery Japanese drama. Then a tweet from my Chrome add-on, Silverbird, caught my eye.
"Should I watch a movie by myself? Haha" - Fiona
Immediately, I typed a reply.
"what movie omg fio I'm off today" - Jolene
And it spiraled into a frantic whatsapp conversation with both of us settling for the movie screening of Frozen at 2.50pm at Nex, with us meeting at 12.30pm.
Due to the fact that it had been forever since my last time out with friends, I was in a frenzy trying to decide on what to wear (yes, girl problems). My entire room was in a mess because I was deliberating between two different outfits: one which had a rather short skirt and a striped top, and another just casual shorts with a long-sleeved tee. After spending 10 minutes on Incognito Mode on Chrome with the search "red flats outfit", I gave up and donned on the Casual. Then came another dilemma: what bag should I bring? My God, my bed had several bags of different colours splayed on top and of course, hangers and my laptop.
I left the house with them still on display and received a comment when I came back home.
"你打仗啊?"
"啊。"
Anyway, because of the excessive amount of time I took to dress (lol such a girl right), I arrived late and met Fiona at the theatre instead. We spent the next one hour or so at Burger King, talking about almost everything under the sun and *probably* made a lot of noise because we were laughing and exclaiming all the time.
Finally we sat down on those comfy and most likely fake leather seats and the movie began - after approximately fifteen minutes of pure advertisement and three minutes of classic Disney cartoons - ! I was extremely impressed by the graphics because they looked sooo goooood and the input of songs made me relish the past when I was totally infatuated with Barbie movies (Barbie never fails to sing in her movies).
In short, the film was absolutely stunning.
Then we spent an hour queuing at Starbucks.
What an anti-climax.
To sum it up, even though the outing today was spontaneous, I'd say it was one of the best outings of the entire year! :) Thank you so much for being with me, Twinnie!

Situated in the sunny island of Singapore, Jolene recently (is 2 years considered recent?) graduated from university and is now working in a job she never expected herself to hold. Besides having frequent quarter-life crises, she also indulges in video games, anime, and aesthetic korean girls documenting their life in vlogs.
Although not as eloquent with words, she still aims to try her best to bring across her thoughts to the Internet.
