recent updates
great ideas about life
Wednesday, 6 November 2013

I have many great ideas (or at least, that is what I feel) that just pop up suddenly - when I'm walking, talking, eating, shitting... Okay it probably is getting too detailed.

(am I getting too crude? Oh god)

Anyway, I thought that perhaps I could share some of them with you and it also serves as a list for me to think back about just how dumb smart I was. Without further ado, here are the things that are ingenious (maybe not):

1. In a D&T class two years ago, we were required to think of wacky ideas and create new designs of a water bottle. I know, how dumb was it? Everyone was stumped when suddenly I had this amazing bazinga idea. I modeled the water bottle after the merlion. As all of you know, the character trait for the merlion is it's spitting of water. So I drew a miniature merlion (which looked really cute imo) and said that once the nose is pressed, the merlion will then spit water in the user's mouth. Yeah... Ingenious idea.

2. This idea was very recent (about a week or two ago) and I was inspired while eating lunch in the school canteen. We (Gwyneth, Terence and I) were discussing about the Math paper and were lamenting about how much time and effort we waste on writing "3 sig. fig" or "corr. to 3 sig. fig." or "1 d.p." and stuff like that. Don't you realise that it takes up so much time? :( I suddenly came up with this idea of inventing a chop (if it hasn't already been invented; I have no idea) for all students to purchase! Instead of writing it in your scrawly handwriting, you can just stamp it. Easy, effective, and... etc. (see what I did there?) I think I would make a lot of money from lazy students like me.

3. I thought of this when I was typing this post just now (I'm currently on my laptop comfortably typing away; molesting feeling the keys) with my phone. For those who do not know, I am currently rocking a Nokia Lumia 920. The interface is overall great, but the one and only and major downside of possessing a Nokia phone is the limited number of applications in the App Store. Blogger does not even have an app (I know right), and to top it off even some of the major companies are absent from the list! Just to name a few: Vine, WeHeartIt, Instagram, Wattpad... Yeah those are just apps that I use very often so maybe they aren't even major because you haven't heard of them >:( and hence when I realised -to my utmost horror- that they were nonexistent in the App Store, I contemplated just swapping this 920 with my previous iPhone 4. But I stuck to it, anyway. So about this great and awesome idea of mine... I want to be able to code a programme (or rather, an app) and get it on the Nokia App Store! *yay*

I think these three great ideas are good enough, I have written a lot. Maybe I'll even blog later (who knows)
