Hi everyone! I didn't expect myself to update so quickly (in 12 hours, another post?) but I felt that I should quickly document this memory of mine.
Yesterday, as I wrote, I went to Plaza Sing. with An and we walked around aimlessly... And I walked into the Yamaha store because I heard someone playing the piano. Now a little background information about me: I took informal lessons from my cousin when I was in Primary 1, and stopped soon after. But after hearing the stranger playing the piano, my guts got the better of me and I went to play (yes) this piece that I remembered clearly. It was Ho-susannah(????), the very country-ish, banjo-like style and apparently An was very impressed by my "hidden talent". I then went on to play 2 more simple pieces and walked out of the shop (I was too embarrassed; those were Grade 1 pieces!).
I'm writing this as I'm making my way to St. Marc cafe, because I suddenly remembered playing a piece together with my cousin. In the Grade 1 book, there was a duet piece, with two people playing their own part to complement the other's. It was melodious and I recall loving that very piece because I felt like one with my cousin.
I just thought I'd type this down to remind myself of this memory.

Situated in the sunny island of Singapore, Jolene recently (is 2 years considered recent?) graduated from university and is now working in a job she never expected herself to hold. Besides having frequent quarter-life crises, she also indulges in video games, anime, and aesthetic korean girls documenting their life in vlogs.
Although not as eloquent with words, she still aims to try her best to bring across her thoughts to the Internet.
