In Her Head (part 1)

Helloooo (: So after reading Gwyneth's post about the mentality of a girl (if you haven't read that yet, seriously you got to check it out because it's awesome and it's true!) I thought of making an... Extension of it. Kind of a sequel or something along those lines. I asked on twitter this morning and it gathered response so I guess yeah I shall be doing it! This is labelled as 'part 1' because there might be other scenarios that people are interested in. Note: Everything here might not be what every girl thinks, so please do not be misled. Scenario 1: When a girl gets complimented Of course, many of you would know about people posting up their photos on Facebook or Instagram or other social media wanting to fish for compliments. But what actually goes on in a girl's mind when they do receive a legit and real compliment, in real life instead of getting them off their photos? If it's from her crush, then it will probably be something along : Oh my God, he complimented me. Do I compliment him back, or what? Oh no am I blushing? Should I be blushing? What if it's all a joke and he was just saying that for fun? So do I retort him with something witty, or just say thanks? And in the end, all she says is this: Thanks, or Are you joking? But if it's from her girlfriends, then it will be sort of different. Her best friend: Wow, your dress is cute! What goes on in her head: Is she actually for real? Or did she say that to make me feel better or something? Was it sarcastic? Oh forget it- I'm probably overthinking. Actually thinking about it, her shoes are quite nice too. Her response: Thanks! Your shoes are nice too! *smiles* Probably not what you expected, but yes. This is what she thinks mostly (at least, that's how I think) but again, not all girls think this way! Scenario 2: When guys confess This is probably what most guys want to read. And maybe some girls too (hint hint Gwyneth hint hint)! Okay just kidding. But you've got to be honoured- your name appears many times in this post (: I don't know if many guys do confess to girls nowadays, and each guy's method of confessing is probably different. But I'll talk about the two most commonly used 'methods' of confessing: Texts, and Face to Face. Lots of guys confess by texting (I think. That's what I see so far) and they have no idea what the girl's thinking of because they are probably like a few kilometres away. Okay. Sometimes girls just ignore you completely because they are freaked out and they have no idea what to say. Or sometimes if you (a guy) are really lucky, and she likes you back too, then SCORE! She'll probably be grinning like an idiot and telling you shyly: I feel the same way about you too. Text received from the guy: Hey, I have been liking you for quite sometime now and I know that this is probably going to make things awkward between us, but yeah. What goes on in her mind: (if it's NOT her crush) Okay... Shit. Kill me now. What the heck am I going to write? Ignore? Or reply? If I ignore then I'll look rude and things will be even MORE awkward! WAIT WHAT IF IT'S A DARE OR A JOKE AND I'M GETTING TROLLED? That would make me look like a doofus. Urghhhhh. Whatever, I'm going to reply. But what do I write? Do I friendzone? Yes that's probably the best thing to do for now. (if it's her crush) OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD HE CONFESSED OH MY HOLY SHIT. Do I tell him that I like him back too? But what if we ruin our friendship? Wouldn't that be terrible? Oh damn, but he should've expected it. If it's a joke, I'm going to murder him and I'll pretend that I was going along with his joke. That's the safest way. What she types back: (if it's NOT her crush) Uh hey. Sorry I don't feel the same way about you, but I hope we can still stay as friends! Or maybe even best friends (: or, Is this like, a joke or dare or something? (if it's her crush) Actually, I like you too >< Face to face confessions HARDLY happen these days because a lot of guys are afraid of rejection. At least, that is what I think. And they don't want to let the girl that they like know how they react to heartbreaking news. Because it's embarrassing. I have never gotten confessed F2F before, thank God. I don't know how I would react too, so... This is just what a girl will think, hypothetically. I don't even know what the guy will say, so forgive me for omitting this part. What goes on in her mind: (if it's NOT her crush) Did he just confess, or what? Am I dreaming? Maybe I should pinch myself. No, that would reflect horribly on me. This is so awkward. Do I run? (if it's her crush) Hold on. Rewind. He confessed? TO ME? Do I hug him or what? What the hell am I thinking, obviously not! Better make sure that he wasn't just practising his speech on me. What she does: *blinks a few times* Come again? Scenario 3: When girls confess This is what guys want to read about too, I guess. HAHAHA but I don't know if this is accurate for most girls or not, so just take it objectively. Girls only choose to confess if - The guy confessed before but she rejected him, and now she realises that she likes him back - She is brave and not afraid of rejection or shame - It's a stupid dare. For scenario 3-1, it's probably weird because... Just because. What goes on in her head: (while they are typing the message or preparing what they want to say) This is going to be so damn awkward. I don't even know if he still likes me. Whatever, just going to take that chance. (when the message is sending) My fate is sealed. (waiting for his reply) Oh damn it. This is his rejection? Ignoring my message? (when he replies favourably) HELL YEAHHHHHH Scenario 3-2, What goes on in her head: (while typing) I hope he takes it seriously and not think that it is a joke. I know that I am funny, but still. *laughs to herself* (while sending) SEND FASTER SINGTEL! (while waiting) Is he doing something else, or what? (when he replies favourably) HELL YEAHHHHHH Scenario 3-3: It really means nothing to her, so... Don't bother knowing what's going on in her mind. Hope you guys enjoyed reading what goes on in a girl's mind! This is not supposed to be a joke or anything- it really does happen in her head. At least, it does in mine. Again, take it objectively!
