So recently, I got tagged in Wan Ting's post and so here I am answering questions which she had set for me. Thank you for nominating me hahaha I don't think I am worthy to do so because it isn't like I blog a lot or I blog about meaningful stuff in life... Unlike others. But well moving on!
looks so pretty, eh?
1. What exactly were you doing just before this (blogging) on this fineeee day in 2014? I want everything up till the minute details.
Oh Wan Ting, you're such a stalker. Well I was supposed to report to work this morning but I had an unfortunate swelling around my eye such that I couldn't see properly because the swell was interfering with my vision... Yes sounds pretty disgusting, and the feeling is kind of gross too. And the swell is still there but I hope it will be gone by tonight or tomorrow (hopefully)! Other than that I was online for the entire day, first watching SAO Special Edition then browsing random websites and watching random videos. Before I saw Wan Ting's blog post I was on, um, 9GAG.
2. Tell me something cool you did in 2013.
I studied...? Is that cool? No? Okay, um, I made a calendar! Technically it is counted as 2013 because I did it on the 31st December, so there. And making a calendar is cool. Epically cool (lol self-invented word there)
3. Ultimate pet peeve please.
People who try too hard to act cute... And post their pictures on Twitter / Instagram / Facebook. Oh my God, no. Get away from me.
4. What's your horoscope? Go to online horoscopes websites and comment on what they say about how your day or year will go.
Wow this is pretty interesting. Well first off, I am a Leo (born in the later part of July)! I will be pasting what is written on the website about my "Personal Life in 2014" and a "Daily Horoscope" for tomorrow, 4 January.
If you have a taste for the unusual, this is going to be the year for you! Uranus is mostly in Aries this year, and during the year it creates interesting and harmonious aspects with planets in both your sign and another fire sign, Sagittarius.
Because of this, you're going to be faced with fresh, interesting new challenges that might require you to be on your toes more often. Friends may come to you with interesting puzzles for you to solve. Family may be looking to you for advice that will help a loved one out of a crisis.
If this sounds daunting, you will be glad to know that your inner strength and stamina will be up to the task. Also, your mental acuity will be able to cope with the smaller, more mundane stresses as if they weren't even there. It could make you feel like a bit of a superhero, but even they have their limits. If you know when to pull back and allow yourself that precious "me" time, you should sail through 2014 with ease!
... Right. This sounds like a pretty tough year to me! Next, the daily horoscope.
This is a day when you could greatly benefit from spending some time outdoors in quiet reflection, Leo. Even a half-hour's walk through a city park will help you feel more rested and grounded. You have been working especially hard lately, and need some time to refill the well of your soul. Don't deny yourself some downtime. Otherwise, you're at risk of burning out.
This kind of doesn't help me at all because I can't spend 'some time outdoors in quiet reflection' due to the thing called work. However it is true that I have been working especially hard (hahaha)
5. Most recent movie you've watched?
Do you mean in the cinemas, or just online? If in the theatres then it would be "The White Storm", my very first NC16 movie! I sobbed like a baby in that one. If online, then I guess my half-watched HSM3: Senior Year, or if not Agent Cody Banks 2 :)
6. Any insecurities for the new year? Apprehensive or worried about anything?
Yes, of course! Obviously my O Level results are making me so worried that I am getting funny dreams every night. (Just last night, I dreamt about raiding someone's dorm room and discovered an issue of a Winx Club magazine behind her school books. What the hell)
Other than that, I guess probably about the whole issue about going to a new school. I mean, it's a new campus, a whole new group of friends and teachers and much tougher subjects. I'm worried that I am unable to cope with this whole new level of pressure :( And I really want to do well in JC!
7. Who do you confide in the most?
My cousin, Linda. She understands almost everything which I have gone through so her thoughts and suggestions are usually helpful :)
8. If you had three wishes now, what would you wish for? (No you cannot wish for more wishes.)
Well then can I beat the system and say that I wish for a genie who can grant unlimited wishes? No? Okay it was worth a try.
First off I'd wish for a smooth sailing life! It is the most important thing in life in my opinion.
Secondly, I hope for everlasting joy for everyone. Happiness makes the world go round, not money.(By the way dancers you should get the inside joke)
Lastly, I guess a new room (haha this is so selfish of me). My room is rather knackered (can rooms even be knackered) and I have a lot of things lying around. And I guess I would want it to look very simplistic and yet posh at the same time (if you know what I mean)! It is so expensive to do a makeover for a room nowadays so I didn't tell my parents about this (haha)
9. What was your most intense dream? Or most unforgettable?
My, my. You have asked the best question for me! I have many many many dreams, a lot of them which are extremely bizarre (if I had shared some with you, you'd know). However if it is intense, then probably the one which I was almost kidnapped.
Disclaimer: this dream happened like, many years ago so it is a little bit foggy to me.
It started off with me leaving the house with someone - I remember it was a girl of the same age, but I can't remember who she was. Anyway we were going somewhere but when we reached the void deck, a duo dressed in black approached us. Judging from the way they looked it obviously spelled T-R-O-U-B-L-E so we split up and ran.
I somehow made it to the Snake Road (My dad and I nicknamed a path 'snake road' near my neighbourhood because of its twists and turns. I have to walk there everyday in order to reach the bus stop to take a bus to go to school) by running down a hill - but there aren't any hills near my house. So I guess my brain makes up very funny and imaginary scenery. With the pursuer hot on my heels, I made a beeline to an old HDB block and took the lift. It was a dumb idea.
In the dream, the lift did not work like it used to. In real life, we just need to press the button of the floor and the lift will take us there with a cheery 'ding'. However in the dream, the lift was the freaking nightmare. I thought it would work as per normal - I mean, who would suspect a lift working weirdly - and I pressed floor 15. The guy in black didn't make it so I was heaving a sigh of relief when I heard the usual 'ding'. I walked out with a smile happy to see that the guy lost me when I realised, to my horror, that I was on floor 35 instead. I knew that because of the sign right in front of the lift. Immediately I pressed the button and the lift doors opened.
It's so stupid how I didn't know how to LEAVE THE LIFT ALONE and instead used it again without suspicion. I entered, pressed floor 10, and it left me at floor 7. However the third time I entered the lift, there were passengers. So I struck a conversation with them.
"How come the lift don't stop at the floor it is supposed to?" I asked an uncle.
He replied me with a smile, "It is just how the lift works." He then continued to explain how I needed to do trial and error before finding out the mechanism behind the lift and eventually use it to my advantage. So I just continued to use the lift going in and out, trying to remember which button leads to which floor. It is something like Crimson Wood Keep (for those of you who play Maple). Oh God, it was so freaky. Eventually I think I gave up(?) when I reached the highest floor because the man in black was THERE. On the rooftop.
So I fled down the stairs (I finally became smart) and I think I woke up.
Pretty intense.
10. Go here (or anywhere else is fine actually) and tell me your favourite kind of rock and why.
My favourite kind of rock is probably rock and roll. Okay just kidding. Um are quartz rocks? Sorry my geography is kind of screwed so I have absolutely no idea if it is classified as one. But yeah, basically I like quartz a lot because of its diverse range of colours (pink, purple, blue, white, etc) and they kind of look like ice crystals as you can see here:
I love ice, if you haven't realised it yet
And this is another picture of quartz:
the big black spot on the left is quartz, as well as those tiny pieces around it
Isn't it just so pretty? * - * Those small shattered pieces remind me of the night sky :) Quartz is my favourite! :)
I took around like 2 hours to complete this post because there was a lot to answer! Hope you readers enjoyed it :) I guess I am supposed to tag some bloggers, so here are you lucky people!
Gwyneth
Terence (you don't have to do it on SK, just type one out on Google Doc or something HAHAHAH)
Fiona
Gwendolyn
Kai Yun
And here are the 10 questions!
What is something you miss from school?
Your ideal home?
Your most prized possession?
What is something you wish to do/ achieve in 2014?
Most romantic/ sweetest thing you have done for somebody?
Tell me something quirky about yourself!
Clothing choices for different occasions (like casual movie outing, a ballet performance, some classy dinner at a restaurant etc)
Something you regret doing in 2013?
A skill which you absolutely hope to learn?
What is your typing speed? Go to this website and tell me! (a screenshot would be epic hahaha)
Okay that'd be all. Thank you so much for reading this loooooooong post! :)
P/S: Wan Ting I would love for you to do this too okay!
