Hey guys! It's been a few days since I wrote and quite a lot has changed since then! You may notice that I've already used 2 exclamation marks so far and that's because I'm really excited to share with all of you a few things :)
First, I've already resigned from my job at Fairprice and am now working at another job which is pretty damn awesome. I'm loving my time there so far and I'm honestly relieved that I decided to make the decision to quit working for Fairprice. Maybe I'll blog about my experiences there in the future, maybe not. Depends.
Second, Eliyssa has died on me and I am now using a new laptop (!!!) *shrieks* YES. Needless to say I need a name for this new one so please leave a comment or two to give me suggestions! I'm open to names of both genders so feel free to bombard me with your creativity.
Third, I am starting a series (of sorts)! As you may have read already in the title above, it has a teeny bracket with "part 1" in it and yes this is part 1 of the series which I am planning to write. I don't have a definite number of parts I would like to write as the ending is not even finalised yet (yes, I live dangerously and do not plan my stories at all. I write whatever comes to mind and bring all of you on an adventure.) so sorry if this series may seem a bit too short or a bit too long. Enjoy!

BOYFRIEND MATERIAL (Part 1)
"Hi, welcome to Boyfriend Material." A robotic voice greeted me as I stepped into the building with nothing but white furnishings and white... everything.
"Our objective is to make all our clients happy and satisfied when they leave," the voice continued.
I nodded absentmindedly, agreeing with whatever the voice was saying as I took in the setting.
This wasn't what I thought it would be like from the outside. Along the streets, this building didn't strike me as something particularly eye catching. It had the same dingy walls with paint peeling off the sides and old and rusty windows rattling with a slight gust of wind - just like all of the other buildings in this city. The only thing that made it seem slightly different from the rest was the nameplate that glistened ever so slightly when it catches the sunlight. The letters BM stands out then; but it's only for that split second. After the sun hides behind the clouds, the building is reverted back to its usual boring and dull self. Curiosity got the better of me, and after observing the building for a week, I stepped in.
"Please enter Zone One for the first step of the process." The same robotic voice pierced through the air like a knife cutting through a thick rope and I found myself wanting to leave this place. However, I made my way to Zone One. --- Yes it is a bit short and I intended for part 1 to be this length. It is more of a teaser lol so yep don't mind me! I haven't written in ages so my writing's pretty rusty and I wrote this originally out of anger. The style may thus change a bit throughout the parts as I am writing them with different emotions on different days - sorry for the inconsistency in advance! Hope you guys enjoyed part 1 and look forward to part 2! :)

Situated in the sunny island of Singapore, Jolene recently (is 2 years considered recent?) graduated from university and is now working in a job she never expected herself to hold. Besides having frequent quarter-life crises, she also indulges in video games, anime, and aesthetic korean girls documenting their life in vlogs.
Although not as eloquent with words, she still aims to try her best to bring across her thoughts to the Internet.
