Hi all! Sorry I haven't updated this space in quite a while. Things have gotten really hectic since my last post and my, my, the drama unfolds.
Before I fill you in, here's a little typography I did a while back when my internet was down and I was unable to post anything.
I know, not up to my standard so I'll keep on trying when I have the time.
I spent a week or so with An after my last post, where we decided to go anywhere and everywhere in those 10 days or so during the prom period. We went to Marina Bay Sands, paid a whopping $8.50 for a SAMPAN RIDE, paid $??? for entrance to the Haudron Collider Exhibit (?) at the ArtScience Museum, visited Gardens By The Bay like proper tourists, splashed around at Wild Wild Wet, had fun at Universal Studios Singapore ONCE AGAIN, and had a feast at IKEA. I'd say we were pretty damn productive as we still managed to shop for prom and scraped a suit for An while doing all of those. *hi five beaver if you're reading this*
But alas, all good and bad things come to an end and An had to leave for Vietnam on Monday. I started work on Tuesday to distract myself from the vacancy I felt growing after he walked through the guards at the airport.
Remember a few posts ago, I was talking about how I wanted to be a cashier and it was pretty much my dream job?
The first 3 days were awful.
The staff were pretty unfriendly and they had a knack of bullying you since you're a rookie and essentially have no clue as to what was happening and their usual protocol. I have horrid working hours that make me skip one of my meals until the end of December. Your boss doesn't treat you nice either.
Funnily enough, although many lament about how the customers were the ones who made the job a terrible one, they were the least of my worries. The customers I've encountered were generally nice apart from a few (but they were still a lot milder than my colleagues and that speaks volumes) and I feel amazing serving them.Time does seem to fly while you're working. Although I'd worked 8 hours today, I only checked the time like 3 times (lol). But all the odd hours and colleague issues are starting to bug me so I have been searching for other jobs that have better working hours.
Hopefully that works out.
Between the days I've watched HP (the first 7 movies; left with Deathly Hallows Part 2) and read a couple of AMAZING wattpad books. The author by the username of hepburnettes is a phenomenal writer! I've been ravishing her books so much by far, and I love that her books are semi-linked, where the main character of one book is a side character of another. I guess I'm still coping okay post-As. Skyping / calling / chatting with An at night has also been a routine for me and I'm really glad.
Alright, that is all for today. Till next time when my laptop can connect to the internet again. :)

Situated in the sunny island of Singapore, Jolene recently (is 2 years considered recent?) graduated from university and is now working in a job she never expected herself to hold. Besides having frequent quarter-life crises, she also indulges in video games, anime, and aesthetic korean girls documenting their life in vlogs.
Although not as eloquent with words, she still aims to try her best to bring across her thoughts to the Internet.
