I am loving the Christmas spirit this year! I've been listening non-stop to Christmas carols and songs throughout December (lol) - playing Ariana Grande's Santa Tell Me on a loop from home to NTU and back has been remarkably festive.
What better way to make it more festive than Christmas shopping?
Fiona and I went out today! We met up at Bot Gard (where she was late, again) for her to visit her law sku and get her assignment back, then travelled to Vivo: the shopping haven. After having Carl's Jr. for lunch, it was shopping time. What meant to be window shopping for me... didn't really become window shopping (hahaha).
We stopped at the usual suspects: Pull & Bear, Uniqlo, Forever 21, Forever New, Bershka, Factorie, Cotton On, TEMT and H&M for her Christmas gift. Okay, so here's the context: Every year Lovarts will have the annual secret santa, and I unluckily got Fiona LOL. It isn't in a mean way, but it's just that she's impossible to buy for, since she's very particular about what she likes and dislikes and has a set ideal on what clothes she would wear. So I blew my cover as her secret santa and approached her to just go out with me to get her clothes :)
... And we ended up empty handed.
Because Fio couldn't find a clothing item that would fit her perfectly HAHA so we just settled on a cute Tsum Tsum pouch that was having a roadshow in the atrium! The pouch is pretty damn classy and neat, so I hope she likes her gift :) I mean, she probably does since we came to a common consensus to purchase that gift LOL.
Then we ended the day with a long travel back from Vivo to Eunos, since she had scheduled her driving lesson in the late afternoon. The bus ride back was hilarious; she was going on and on about certain topics that ended making us (or rather, her) cackle uncontrollably and being a public nuisance. This made me miss our secondary school days so much! Back then when things were so much simpler, and we had to worry about memorising the definition of active transport and osmosis. Friendships were easy to foster and everyone genuinely wanted to be friends with everyone. I'm really glad that this friendship between us has grown so strong that it has practically blossomed into sisterhood with the Lovarts, and I hope with all my heart that our annual secret santa can continue for the many years to come.

Situated in the sunny island of Singapore, Jolene recently (is 2 years considered recent?) graduated from university and is now working in a job she never expected herself to hold. Besides having frequent quarter-life crises, she also indulges in video games, anime, and aesthetic korean girls documenting their life in vlogs.
Although not as eloquent with words, she still aims to try her best to bring across her thoughts to the Internet.
