Some of you may have remembered that I've mentioned (or have I?) that I am currently involved in quite a number of hall activities - one of which is The Summer Soiree (aka Dinner and Dance committee)! I am in PnP, which means that I'm in charge of photography and publications.
Sounds easy?
I thought so too - until today when we PnP had to do our job: taking photos. Marcus (Chief) booked the Mac Studio (or the mac lab, whatever it's called) over at NIE for us to have our photoshoot. The photoshoot is basically for the entire planning committee's identities, where we have formal and casual shots to kind of introduce who we are to the juniors next year who are attending TSS and just for us to have some fun too (haha).
I believe that it is time for me to tell you guys that I have never held a DSLR before, what more operate it! So I was nervous - really, really nervous because so many things could happen. What if I dropped it and the lens cracked? What if I take horrendous photos at unflattering angles such that none of them can be used? What if I can't properly direct the models to let them take the best shots they can produce? Before the rest came, Marcus gave me and Jac (fellow PnP!) a quick rundown about the settings of the DSLR with the aperture, shutter speed and all that jazz which I totally had no clue about.
Then he let us run loose with a DSLR each. What. The. Heck.
It was really awkward to take pictures of him when we first started out, and of the models who came earlier (aka the EXCOs) because we were still getting used to the clicking of the cameras! But everyone was very forgiving so I'm really thankful for that :)
It was a crazy day though. I believe we have ~3000 photos from both the cameras; we have to edit the photos! I'm shaking in fear because of this but... Whatever. Photoshop's fun anyway :)
Sorry this post isn't very coherent/ linked! I'm not in the writing mood today haha but I just figured that I'd just update you guys about what's happening in my life right now :) I am down for work (working at a cruise centre in case you may want to ask me lel) on thursday and friday at 8am so I'm really not looking forward to it :(

Situated in the sunny island of Singapore, Jolene recently (is 2 years considered recent?) graduated from university and is now working in a job she never expected herself to hold. Besides having frequent quarter-life crises, she also indulges in video games, anime, and aesthetic korean girls documenting their life in vlogs.
Although not as eloquent with words, she still aims to try her best to bring across her thoughts to the Internet.
